Notwithstanding, secondary school learners’ skills (PSS) be developed using an instructional strategy that actively involves them learning process instead of sorely focusing on content learned. This paper shows how production materials for teaching go hand-in-hand development PSS through implementation Hands-on Instructional Model (HIM) chemistry lessons. study was Design-based Research convergent mixed-method approach. The data collected lesson observation protocol, focus group discussions guide, test. On aspect PSS, learners were enhanced to solve ordinary problem criteria ways identify problem, approach used whether they could reflect answer obtained. findings indicate substantial impact HIM PSS. Therefore, it is suggested should frequently enhance active engagement lessons further their PSS.
